Angela Adams

Angela Adams does a seasonal foodie line with delicious little goodies. Those cookies look fantastically designer chic. mmmm.

After waffling back and forth, I decided to give it a whirl and add some ads to the sidelines, hope you don't mind. I guess we'll see how this plays out.

10 Gifts for $10 or less

Each year when the holidays roll around, my husband and I establish a little spending budget that we use to splurge on each other's gifts so we don't get too out of hand. I read an article the other day that the average American family goes into over $1500 in credit card debt during the holidays. Uggh. :( So... in the effort to provide a few gift ideas with various price points, here is gift guide numero uno. You really don't have to spend a lot (or anything at all) to give something meaningful and beautiful. Put these gifts in a stocking, a wooden shoe, or wrap them up real fancy.

1: Monogrammed Mugs from Anthropologie $6.00
2: Wooden Lemon Reamer from Williams-Sonoma $8.50
3: Royal Treatment Egg Cups from Uncommon Goods $10
4: Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 from Kiehl's $8.50
5: Moleskine Pocket Journal from Amazon $7.50
6: Kolo Vineyard 5 x 7 Album from Kolo $8
7: Mini Digital Keychain Camera from Buy $10
8: 101 Things You Need to Know from Urban Outfitters $9.95
9: Art Set for the Jet Set Colored Pencils from Vickerey $8
10: Yesterday's News Colored Pencils from Fred Flare $9

Delectable Edibles

I am having an obsession with penguins lately. These cuties are from Williams-Sonoma.

Instead of real toy cars what about cake ones instead?

On the first day...

I really dig these 12 days of Christmas holiday plates by Rosanna via Brown Turtleneck Sweater. Along with these, I am currently brainstorming for 12 days of Christmas gift ideas. Done anything fun and clever?

{Update:} Found some more 12 days plates at WS.

Ben Harman

I came across this clever and witty baby announcement designed by an old fellow design student and friend of mine, Ben Harman in the CA design annual. Check out his website, it is super cool.

Ryan Phillips Photography

While in the grocery store, I like to pick the longest lines so I can thumb through magazines. Last night while in the checker lane, dipping my nose in a wedding mag, I came across the work of wedding photographer Ryan Phillips. Can I say, tres magnifique! See more of his beautiful work here and his blog here.

Refreshing

Last night, Mac and I escaped our house (which I've been in way too long cleaning up baby barf) to see August Rush, it was good and rather touching. On a side note, it is refreshing to see new moms such as Keri Russell (star in August) dot the covers of many magazines lately. I wonder if some zines are finally starting to realize their target market is growing up a little, and that women can also be chic and stylish with little ones.

The Bucket List

This flick looks good. It comes out January 11th (Dec. 25th in special places) What's on your bucket list? I may just have to revisit and update mine. via melissa jane

numbers

I enjoy numbers and all types of typography, in fact I have a cool and quirky set of glasses that have silly numbers and sayings on them that I found at a 2nd hand store. Although I am an avid fan of plain and simple white dishes, when I saw all of these {below} I was instantly in love with the look.

Christa Taylor

I received an email about the up and coming Christa Taylor, a young 20 year old designer who produces modest clothing without the frump. Working together with her family, she launched her own clothing company and is dedicated in also donating 30% of her profits to just causes throughout the world. Below are a few of my fav. photographs from her lookbook. "You go girl!"

Personalized cookbook

Organize and create your own personal cookbook by tastebook.com. This would be a great great gift for foodies and peeps who like to keep it orderly in the kitchen. A fantastic solution for having all of your favorite recipes in one beautiful place. {via readymade}

Ali did such a fabulous job with these lovely shots. See more here. Lacey also took some amazing shots with Ali, find them here.

Got a barf bag?

This weekend didn't go quite as planned, my husband, babby and a lot of my extended family got sick. We still aren't sure if its the mexican restaurant most of us went to, or a thanksgiving sidedish... ugggh. Light posts = I am cleaning up, well.... you know. Unfortunately my baby's still at it. :( Let me tell you though, this weekend, I've never watched so many back to back movies. I'll be back soon, ... I hope.
